Which of these domain names would you recommend for a coaching business?
Main Post:
I'm trying to come up with a domain name that is easy to remember but will work long-term for my business. I'm launching a coaching business but I also already work as a consultant and I will offer digital courses in future. So initially, I was keen to not use "coaching" in the domain as this might limit me in future.
My company name is unavailable with .com, .co., .co.uk, .io and I've narrowed down the available options to the following:
.ac - short, broad, bilingual (I work in English and another language) but although being research-based is part of my brand, I am not an academic institution and I worry this looks like I'm passing myself off as one.
.co.com - feels suitable for a company website but I've never heard of anyone else using this. My partner thought it sounded weird and confusing.
[companyname]coaching.com - easy to say, also [companyname]coaching is available as an IG handle, but the disadvantage is that it's coaching-specific and English
Should I just go for the most familiar and easy [companyname]coaching.com which also allows me to be consistent on IG and stop worrying that I will launch other services that are not coaching?
Or should I go for the less well-known .ac or co.com to futureproof the domain and put up with people thinking it's weird?
Really grateful for your advice as I know I'm overthinking this!
Top Comment: [companyname]coaching.com .ac is extremely uncommon is a minimum of >$25/y, .co.com and .ac are prone to erratic pricing changes between years that are outside of your control. Everyone knows .com and it's ~$10y, it specifies coaching which is the market you're trying to get. Worry about expansion when you cross that bridge, doing so now would take away from what you're trying to focus on now.

Why are .bar domains so expensive?
Main Post:
I'm looking to buy a domain for a website I am currently creating, and .bar domains are 100+ bucks per year? Why?
Top Comment: Why are .bar domains so expensive? Because it's a specialised TLD and the registry operator is probably operating at a low volume registration number which means a higher than average cost for consumers to purchase. I'm looking to buy a domain for a website I am currently creating, and .bar domains are 100+ bucks per year? Why? Don't know you might want to shop around. For example Porkbun the registrar I normally recommend has them at $51.99 per year of registration. TLD-List.com says Dynadot first year registration with discount is $1.50 and Sav is $2.88 with first year discount however they are renewing at $8.88 which is very weird. I would probably register it at Sav and add multiple years.
